A lot of wonderful things set Trinity Landing apart from other Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) in and around Wilmington. For some, it’s the resort-style amenities and the spacious residences that will make it special. Others may find the delicious dining options particularly appealing. For many, the Carolina culture of hospitality and friendliness is what makes them feel so comfortable about being a part of this community, even before construction begins. At Trinity Landing, there are no strangers, just friends you haven’t met yet. However, the most striking element of Trinity Landing is the gorgeous location and grounds. If you become a member of the Trinity Landing community, you’ll live where others only vacation!
A wonderful waterfront location
Trinity Landing is located right on the Intracoastal Waterway, which offers endless options for recreation and relaxation. The boardwalk, for example, stretches through the grounds, over streams, past the unique Waterfront Pavilion, and then becomes a long dock over the water. This setup makes it extremely easy and very pleasant to walk through the maritime forest all the way to the waterfront.
If you want to sit back and relax on the dock, you can put your feet in the water, grab a drink, and enjoy yourself – maybe even catch the sunset! If you’re interested in something more active, grab a kayak and hit the water. There are many adventures to be had on Masonboro Island.
A convenient way to enjoy the Carolina coast
In addition to the boardwalk, the Trinity Landing grounds offer walking paths for your convenience. These paths wind through the seaside scenery and maritime forests of Trinity Landing, connecting you to anywhere you might need to go. When you add in the lush variety of vegetation that surrounds and intertwines with the campus, your daily stroll will become a lot more magical.
The trees hang low but out of the way. The grass is thick but expertly landscaped around the paths. You walk through the greenery until the path guides you to the boardwalk. Soon, the vegetation opens up, and before you appears the Intracoastal Waterway, shimmering and expansive. The pavilion sits on your left, buzzing with people and laughter in an otherwise serene environment. During the day, residents may meet there before a kayaking trip. At night, you may find yourself roasting marshmallows over the firepit alongside family and longtime friends. With the help of these paths, the boardwalk, and the Waterfront Pavilion, everything about the Trinity Landing grounds keeps you connected to the scenic waterside setting.
Natural preservation
As you may have noticed, natural beauty is an important part of Trinity Landing’s grounds. The foliage offers seclusion, serenity, and vibrance to everything it touches. To preserve this natural beauty, the Trinity Landing team is going to great lengths to clear as little as possible in the construction process. The goal is to make enough space for the buildings and roads without compromising the gorgeous plant life. Whenever possible, the vegetation coexists and meshes with the campus, as the images here show. The result will be a community that is truly one with nature, from the trees to the sand and everything in between.
