There are a lot of reasons to be excited about Trinity Landing, from the farm-to-table dining to the perfect location and the stellar amenities. However, if we had to pick the one thing we are most excited about for the community, it would undoubtedly be the residents themselves. The folks that have already placed their deposits for Trinity Landing are some of the most fun, kind, and vibrant people you’ll meet. One couple who captures this energy vividly is Charlie and Karen Reap.
The Reaps shared why they chose Trinity Landing and why they are excited for its opening in 2022.
Preparing for the future
Karen and Charlie were already quite aware of the high quality of service at Lutheran Services Carolinas. “I actually was in Trinity Grove for rehab a few years ago after a fall,” Karen shared, “so I really highly regarded the care they provided there.”
“We are planning for the future,” Charlie added. “We are in good shape now, but we are planning for being around for a while. Trinity Landing offers us the confidence that we can be taken care of if we ever need it.”
As a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Trinity Landing offers all residents priority access to a full spectrum of care at Trinity Grove, should the need ever arise. With such top-notch facilities a short drive away, residents can rest easy knowing their future is always secure.
Living with vitality
While Trinity Grove is what caught Karen’s attention, care is not the only reason they chose Trinity Landing as their next home. “That’s in the future,” Karen explained. “In the short term, we are looking forward to being on the water and being able to go down to the waterfront pavilion for events. Plus, we like the feeling of camaraderie that we have gotten from people. We think Ann and Nate and Candy are very lovely people.”
In addition to the waterfront lifestyle and amazing staff, the Reaps also took great interest in their future neighbors. “A couple years ago, we moved to a different continuing care community,” Charlie explained. “And let me tell you, it was tough. I couldn’t find much youth and vitality. And I said, ‘This is not for me.’ There were nice folks around, and the dining was fine, but the attitude was just ‘Everybody’s too old.’ And I don’t like things like that. I want to be around happy and lively people. That’s what we found at Trinity Landing.”
“With the people we’ve met,” he continued, “we found they shared our mindset of trying to stay young as well.”
Ultimately, it was meeting fellow depositors that convinced Karen and Charlie that Trinity Landing would be an ideal community. After seeing that their potential neighbors shared their love of live and youthful energy, they were sold.
Thoughtfully designed residence
One element of Trinity Landing the Reaps seem particularly excited for is their new residence: the Manteo apartment home.
“We love the big walk in closets!” Karen shared cheerily.
“And it has a very nice balcony,” added Charlie. “We have a very large balcony that looks out over the land.”
One of the other benefits of the Manteo apartment home is its den. The den offers a lot of room for customization, the perfect space to mold to your personal preferences.
“We may use the den as a dining room,” Karen explained. “I have some dining room furniture that I’d really like to keep, and we may put some of that into the den.”
This clever idea opens up the dining room area as an extension of the living room, making for a spacious floor plan perfect for guests. As an apartment home, the Manteo also offers convenient access to Trinity Landing’s dining. You’ll never have to deal with unfavorable weather again.
“We picked an apartment, so we don’t have to go out in the rain,” Charlie shared. “We can be inside during any type of weather.”
From the friendly neighbors to the spacious floor plans, there are a lot of reasons that the Reaps are excited to come to Trinity Landing. If you would like to learn more about our community, call 910-398-9400 or click here to request a free information kit.
