Trinity Landing is a soon-to-be-built Continuing Care Retirement Community in Wilmington, North Carolina that will offer residents a fantastic location on the Intracoastal Waterway, thoughtfully designed and spacious residences, and activities galore. When researching a community like Trinity Landing, it is important to understand the various contract options available so that you can find something that is perfect for you. We want to tailor your experience with us to your specific preferences so that you can continue living your vibrant lifestyle the way you want to.
Entrance fee and monthly service package
Once you have decided to make Trinity Landing your home, the first step towards moving in is the entrance fee. The entrance fee is a one-time, upfront payment that gets you access to Trinity Landing’s stellar amenities and spacious residences. After you move in, you pay a monthly service fee that covers everything from utilities to dining. These two fees get you an all-inclusive lifestyle at Trinity Landing. No chores, no obligations, and no need to worry about the future–just new adventures and new friends to enjoy them with.
Fee for Service
At Trinity Landing, any future care is part of a Fee-for-Service contract. This means that your package adapts to your needs as time goes on. Should your health needs change, you would pay for additional care separately. For many, this contract option offers a unique level of freedom.
A Fee-for-Service contract means that you don’t pay for future health services that you may never need. Fee-for-Service contracts generally mean that the entrance fee and monthly service fee are substantially lower when compared to Life Care contracts. For many people, this arrangement is ideal. For instance, if you already have long-term care insurance, if you are in good health and don’t want to spend money on care you don’t need, or if want to keep saving your money, this contract may be perfect for your lifestyle.
With this type of contract, you leave the decision-making in your own hands. We want to offer you choice so that you can continue living both actively and proactively.
Three ways to pay
In the spirit of offering you choice, Trinity Landing offers you three ways to go about the Fee-for-Service contract. The first option is known as a “90% Refundable” model. When you initially move into your residence, most of your entrance fee is completely refundable. How much is refundable goes down gradually month by month. In the 90% model, however, that refundability never goes below 90%. You could live at Trinity Landing for as long as you want, and if you decided to move, you would still get at least a 90% refund of your entrance fee. If you move to Trinity Landing and decide for any reason to leave the community, this model would save you a lot of money.
The second option is known as the “50% Refundable” model. This contract is functionally similar to the 90% Refundable; when you first move in, most of your entrance fee is refundable, and that portion declines over time. The difference here is that this contract sets the cap at 50%, meaning that you can stay for as long as you want and your refundability will never drop below 50%. In return for this lower percentage, the entrance fee itself is reduced. This means you will save more money, while still keeping the refund option open should you decide to move.
The other model is known as the “Declining Refund” or “Limited” option. This option means that, after 48 months of occupancy, you won’t be able to get a refund on your entrance fee, but in return the entrance fee is substantially lower. If you feel very confident that Trinity Landing will remain your home, this option is a great way to save money.
As you can see, the central theme of Trinity Landing’s contract options is choice. We want you to shape your future however you’d like. And, most importantly, we want you to be able to make confident, informed decisions about your time here.
