Just like the rest of our resort-like community here in Wilmington, the construction of our state-of-the-art Saltwater Wellness Center is coming along! Here’s a look at what you’ll find at Trinity Landing to help reach your fitness and wellness goals along the sun-kissed Carolina shores.

Top-notch fitness equipment

Adjacent to the stellar swimming pool and hot tub, our Saltwater Wellness Center will feature fitness equipment that you’d expect to see at any luxury gym or boutique fitness studio. Take a walk (or jog) on the treadmill, or go for a spin on an upright or recumbent bike. You could also use our elliptical, or get a great low-impact cardio workout on a rowing machine.

If weights are more your thing, try using our free weight station, medicine balls, resistance bands, or kettlebells to build muscle while honing functional strength and balance. Another option for strength training is using our Total Resistance Exercise (TRX) Straps, a suspension-based training system that uses your own body weight to develop your strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability. Finally, go to the wellness courtyard and practice your favorite yoga poses, which you’ll also be able to do down by the waterfront at the Waterfront Pavilion.

You won’t see this at the other senior living communities in NC

In addition to our standard fitness equipment, our new Saltwater Wellness Center will feature specialized fitness equipment such as Keiser pneumatic resistance machines for every muscle group.

So, what exactly is a Keiser pneumatic resistance machine? A pneumatic resistance machine uses an air compressor to create a controlled amount of resistance. The resistance can easily be adjusted, like selecting a different level of weight for your exercise. Unlike weights, though, a pneumatic resistance machine encourages speed when exercising, not just slow and powerful movements.

That said, these machines are especially useful for lower-impact, higher-repetition workouts. Our team specifically selected them for the type of active individuals and couples who will be calling Trinity Landing home and value an active senior living lifestyle. These are the kinds of details that will make this community feel like it was designed just for you—because it was!

Professional guidance for your wellness journey

If you’re unsure of how to use a Keiser pneumatic resistance machine, don’t worry. We will have a full-time personal trainer on staff to work with members of our community at no additional cost. Our personal trainers can guide your exercises as you use one of our many machines for your workout and work with you on lighter exercises, such as on our mat table. If you prefer group fitness activities, we plan to offer ample specialized wellness classes with qualified instructors, such as yoga, Zumba, Pilates, water aerobics, and more. In fact, future residents can make use of some of our classes now. We are currently holding group exercise classes at our Welcome Center! Visit our Facebook page to learn more.

Trinity Landing Best Fitness Centers

Looking to make a splash? Take a dip in our specially designed pool! The pool at our Saltwater Wellness Aquatic Center will range in depth from 3-foot-9 to 4-foot-9, with three 7.5-foot-wide lap lanes. This innovative design has only been seen at one other pool in North Carolina. In addition, the pool’s slope will give an entire 60-foot stretch of shallow water that residents can use for stand-up aquatic activities. Whether you prefer lap swimming or aquatic volleyball, the pool will provide plenty of opportunity to enhance your overall wellness. And if you’d rather just relax, don’t worry: we’ll also host regular pool parties and luaus to celebrate all the good times happening here along the Intracoastal Waterway.

At Trinity Landing, we truly care about making sure every member of our community has the opportunity to practice and pursue total mind and body wellness. That’s why we are creating the best fitness center seen at any active senior living community in North Carolina.
